Broken people

There is hope in the broken. Not from this world, but from the one in which made it, God. Being born again and staying in His word; is an opportunity to be new and made whole again. This world has a tendency to toss aside people. With God however, He tosses out sin, if we let Him in. I have watched God change hearts. Change the way people live, for the better. It is often easy to see people as lost causes, through our own lens. When we see the way that God sees, we can see hope, in what appears hopeless. For the lens of God, is the lens of love. Friend, what if God gave up on us, in our own broken moments of bad behavior or bad choices? Some of the greatest people in the Bible, aside from Jesus, were broken people. What if God gave up on them? Everything would be different. Jesus himself had a tendency to especially love sitting with the broken. Where we sometimes see helping others as a fool’s errand, God sees as an opportunity for a changed heart. If He had not, then what would have been the point for the cross? Friend, we need to start seeing people, as people. Not what we think their worth, but that they have worth. The time it takes to judge, could be spent with either helping them or even just praying for them. I am grateful that God sees through the lens of love, offering His hope and His grace. For if any of us were judged by the worlds standards and given up on; this would be a world devoid of true love, happiness and hope. Friend, there is hope in brokenness. For we have a God, that is the master builder of all broken things.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
