Follow where He leads

While my husband was at work, I needed help getting something big I just purchased from the store. My Dad showed up with his big van and muscles to help me load it up. While on the way home from the store, my dad drove in front of me and I followed behind. Suddenly he was taking me a way back home, that I was unfamiliar with. I thought, what way is he taking?! Though despite my questioning, I trusted his way, he is my father after all. I knew whatever way he was taking me; he knew something I did not. I knew that he would not take me down a road, that was not going to get me to my destination. Friend, often we as believers question where God is taking us. We wonder why we are on a different road than planned. Or we forget that He knows what we do not. Forgetting that His plans are better than ours and He would not take us down a road that would stop us from reaching our destination with Him. It is best that when the questioning comes of asking God why we are on a particular road; that we just follow where He leads. We may not always know the way He leads us, but we do know whom is leading us. Like my dad, he led me quickly and safely home; our Father in heaven will lead us, His children on the path home. All we need to do is trust, obey and follow. Friend, I do not know where you are at in life today, but if you are having God lead you; trust that He will lead you safely home.
