Independence Day

The flag blows in the wind, people laugh freely and play

Fireworks blare, as people cheer, on Independence Day

What is freedom is answered by, what we see around

The joyful noise of our freedom cry, victory in its sound

What wars were fought, what blood was given

From soldier’s love, is this life we’re living

What is sacrifice, but to do it with love

For generations to be free, even strangers thought of

Thank-You to the soldiers that fought and still fight

To keep our freedom, our God given right

For freedom is not free, it comes with a price

For freedom is paid, by some sacrifice

The flag blows in the wind, as I so appreciate

The freedom given here, in the United States

We must all fight for freedom, not give haste

Not give in to subjection, not let freedom waste

For God himself has given us free will

We must always fight for it, even still

For such a blessing it is to have freedom stay

As firework blare, people cheer, on Independence Day

Happy 4th of July!

Galatians 5:13-14 NIV

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
