If you feel like you can’t measure up to the stranger down the road
Just do your best, be your best, let God carry the load
The biggest critic that we have to fear
Is the person looking at us in the mirror
We don’t know others story and they don’t know ours
It is not about all the stuff, fancy houses, fancy cars
It is not about how eloquent our meals may be
Just that we are fed and not left hungry
God will supply all of our need
Loving God is what it means to succeed
Often, we think that someone is doing it so right
While we’re just hanging on trying to win our fight
It is much easier to assume, than to know what is true
Don’t always assume that others are better off than you
For some things are not always what they appear
Sometimes assumptions can make the truth not clear
Everyone has a battle every now and then
God is what it takes to surely win
God will always supply all of our need
For loving God is what it takes to succeed
If we focus on the blessing and not the stranger down the road
We can see so clearly, how God carried the load
When we measure our worth in God, not to worldliness
We can see all the ways that we’ve been blessed
So instead of comparing, may we praise His holy name
Who says we measure up and He loves us all the same
The question is do we love Him, or would we rather compare
As our God always loves us and He is always meets us here

2 Corinthians 10:12 NIV
We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.
Galatians 6:4,5 NIV
Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.
Romans 5:8 NIV
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
