He cares

He cried. When His son hung on the cross, nails pierced in His hands, a crown of thorns pushed into His head, 39 whips, and struggling for air. As His son was on that cross, hanging there bleeding to death, God cried. His son He could help, but He would not. For His purpose could not be fulfilled in His love for us, if he did not allow the suffering of His son Jesus. There are times when we wonder if God cries alongside us in our hurt. We wonder how could He allow such things. Friend, God does not want us to suffer. Suffering does not come from Him. He allows things to happen at times, for reasons we may or may not ever know. Just like we cry for our children when they hurt, He cries with us, His children. Friend, if you are dealing with any form of pain; mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, please know that He is there with you. He is crying with you, calling you to come to Him. For tears are their own language. Sometimes shedding them together offers a special place of relief in the suffering. Where tears are shed with God, healing can begin.

Psalms 34:17-20 NIV

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

Psalms 18:6 NIV

In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.

Psalms 56:8 NIV

Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll— are they not in your record?
