I am an emotional woman. I have spent many years trying to balance my big feelings with level-headedness. Though it may not always be easy and I at times still fail; I have come a long way. Friend, I have learned the wisdom of using my brain, along with my heart. Feelings, though very important, cannot dictate our life solely on their own. If we do not use the wisdom of our head too, it can easily trip us up from being the people that God has called us to be. Friend, I do not know your story. However, what I do know is that whatever we go through in life, if we let our emotions rule us on their own and not balance our passion with the wisdom that God provides; we wind up in a horrible rut, making things worse for ourselves. We must balance our heart and our head. When choices are made strictly from emotional impulse, it rarely ends well. In turn, if we use those same feelings of passion, with wisdom, there is where we can truly make positive differences. Friend, for those of you like me who are emotional; may we always remember to turn to God to help use our passion, the way that He has called us to. For when we are driven by the heart and the head it is amazing what goodness, even in adversity, that God can perform in and through us. For there is something so wonderful as to watch a passionate, yet, level- headed person, make a positive difference in this hurting world.
