Love one another

Everyone has a story; we may not know it like our own

So may we always offer love to be shown

A helping hand, a kind gesture, smile, and word

Love to be spoken, may this be what is heard

Meanness only further darkens, a hurting soul

May our words be like sunshine, helping hearts to grow

For a kind word, goes a long way

In the heart of the receiver, it does stay

Assumptions are easy, when clouded by sin

To assume the worse, instead of seeing like Him

When hearts see with compassion and things above

Empathy is given, enabling love

So may we learn to see with a new point of view

For we don’t know, what they’ve been through

So put on our new lens, and love indeed

For it covers a multitude, love is what we need

God has asked us to love one another

Like a sister and a brother

As we go into the world, may love be given

Offering care, in this world, in which we’re living
