In the hustle and bustle this week I realized that I did not do enough smiling. I was onto the next project, the next chore, the next task. In the exhaustion of my busy life, did I forget to enjoy the moment? Often, we accelerate our life when we are not fully present in the moment. There will almost always be some form of duty. We must learn to slow down and find the smile in it. Exhaustion and stress from a to do list comes more from the rush of it all, and less from the duty at hand. I made sure to smile today. To even laugh and be silly in my busy. Life will pass by and I do not want to live it in auto pilot. Filled with a life that went by so quickly, that all I have left is exhaustion, where memories could have been. Breathe friend and whatever you are doing, wherever you are at in your day, slow down and smile. Savor the joy in that moment, whatever it may be. For life is fleeting, time is a blessing and smiles make the hard parts more bearable. God has given us this time. May we find more smiles, with every moment bestowed.
