Finding self

I accepted Jesus in my heart when I was around five years old. I will admit though, I do not remember anything about it. I just remember being a Christian for as long as I can remember. God was always a part of my life, one way or another. It was normal in my little corner of the world to believe in the Holy Trinity. I loved God and I loved Bible stories when I was young. I learned about prayer at a young age; though, I did not fully understand it like I do now. As a teen and young adult, I had some misguided morals and I went through stages of trying to find myself and the missing parts of me on my own accord. However, this left me empty-handed and discontented. It was not until I really fell into my faith, did I see that God was always there in my life, waiting for me to truly see Him. I did not truly start to find myself, until I found who I was in God. I did not feel whole, until I felt complete in God’s love. Friend, as we go through this life searching for who we are; we must find our answers in Him. This world cannot fulfill inside of us, what only God can do. In my faith I found my calling, my value, my worth. In God all the parts of me felt loved beyond what this world can offer. Friend, if you are looking for meaning, purpose, something to fill the void inside of yourself; I pray you reach out to the only one who can truly make you found, God. Now, prayer is a deeper conversation with God, Bible stories relate to my life in different ways at different times, worship is more than just a song. As we travel this life may we live it for God whom spoke life into our lungs and promises forever even when our days are up. Friend, I pray as you read this that you can love God beyond just going through the motions. That you can get to know Him at a deeper level and truly grow in your faith. A true relationship with God. Leading you to feel fulfilled now and for eternity.
