Have you ever heard of a green screen?! They are pretty neat due to their ability to completely alter the reality of where you are. Just like filters, they can distort reality to different degrees, to make whatever reality the person behind the lens, is trying to convey. Though this may be neat when done for fun or to tell a story; we must not forget that it is merely a distortion of the truth. I feel like sometimes sin is like a green screen or a filter. We allow sin to sometimes take us to places, that are not what they appear to be. At times sin can seem enticing, though in the end; it is far away from the reality we were hoping for. Maybe we were looking for something to make us happy or that sounded like fun. Though in the end; it did not go as we would have hoped. Sin is a false reality of true joy. Friend, if we want to truly find our true joy; we must live our lives for God. Only in Him, can we be truly at peace. A green screen takes us away to somewhere that we are not. A filter alters the truth to make things appear better than they are. Friend, I pray our walk with God is not something fake or distorted. I pray it is real and authentic. In authenticity we can really see where we are in our lives and who we truly are. Take down the green screens and filters in your life friend and be present with God, whom loves you just where you are at and just who you are. For if we do not come to God honestly, how can our relationship be honestly genuine?

These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
