I will trust you God, for all of my hope is in you

It is in your word, your promises, and what only you can do

It is in every Bible story that I have understood and read

It is in your truth and all that you have said

There is peace in knowing you hold me through it all

That you’re always beside me, you hear my call

I imagine you holding me and that all is alright

That in a battle you shield me in the fight

My hope is in you Lord, as you tell me not to fear

For you know all, and my heart you hear

You provide peace for my burdened mind

Rest for my soul, in you, I find

My life, help me to live it, for you

I want to live as you tell me to

For I cannot repay

The debt Christ paid

Though I can choose to walk in your way

To read your word, follow it and to always pray

I want to please you, so when my time does come

That I will hear you say, my child, “well done”

My hope is in you God, as I may not always know the plan

That although I make mistakes, for I am still human

That you love me all the same, even in my mess

I know that I am eternally blessed

As I navigate this place, I know just where to start

In the comfort of my God, whom I hold inside my heart
