Train up a child…

One of my favorite things to witness, is a child worshipping and loving God. Asking Jesus in their hearts and being on fire for Him. For our children, now more than ever, have so much pressure of worldly influences on them. All around them are so many people and things that are against God. It is so easy to be sucked into the brokenness of it all. So, when I see children standing firm on the foundation of their values, morals, principles, most importantly, their faith; my heart is overflowed with joy. As I know God’s is even more so. It brings me such hope for the next generation and for those to come; that there is yet those whom will stand firm in faith, against the devil’s wicked schemes. Children are never too young to pray and learn about God. They are never too small to bring people to Him and to make a positive influence in the world around them. I watch my son’s light up for God and if there is one thing that I can teach them the most of; let it be, that I showed them God. That I showed them what real faith is and what it looks like. That I led by example. Friend, may we gift our children the most important gift that we can; to truly know God. To walk with Him always and how to truly love Him. May we study His word with our children, like our favorite book. May we teach our children through church and at home about God. May we sing His praises, like the beautiful, meaningful songs that they are. May we teach our children how to pray continually and to trust in how God chooses to answer. We must continue, and if you have not started yet, start now; to teach them about a real relationship with God. My friend, I want my children to know and to love God. That is my biggest hope for their lives. I want them to truly know Him. To fully worship Him. To truly, love God. For that will be their greatest tool in this life. When our time does come to an end here: if you are like me, you will want to know that they will be with God, when we are all called home. To really love a child my friend, it is most important to teach them of God’s grace, His word, and His love.
