Our identity in God

Many people are constantly in a state of self-discovery. They read horoscopes, books, magazines, and any other outlet that offers to tell them, more about themselves. Some completely change their identities from their design, not realizing their beauty, just as they are. Just as they were created. Some fall into worldly fads or dysfunctional societal norms. For some this is just a simple act of vanity and attention. I think in the grand scheme of things, for most though, it is because they never feel fully content with who they are. Like we constantly need someone to recognize us and affirm who either we believe we are or to truly tell us, as we do not seem to know. Those who find their answer in such matter; will never have the peace that they are looking for. Discontentment will always be their ally; until they learn to find themselves in the only place that they can. We are designed innately to know we are. Where we get it wrong is that we try to find our answer in ourselves and others and not in God. Friend. You are beautiful and perfect. Designed from a mold of your own. If you want to know who you are, you must find God. We only see who we are created to be, if we know what our purpose is. Our purpose comes from the one that designed us; God. Our instruction manual that tells us what makes us, us, is His instruction. The Bible is our manual. He is our answer. Friend if you are struggling and find yourself looking for your answers in the world, please stop looking there. The sooner we start finding our identity in God; the sooner we find who we are, our worth and His purpose for our lives. Providing a peace in our identity that can only come from God.  In your quest for self-discovery, may you find your map in Him.

Romans 12:4-5 NKJV

For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.

Psalms 139:13-15 NKJV

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
