My husband and I went on a date today. We went on one of our favorite dates; antiquing. Walking into an antique store, is like stepping back in history. We saw things from our grandparents and parents time, we even seen things from our own childhood. In a world that is advancing and changing so steadily; sometimes it is nice to just go back to a different time. We can learn so much about life, by learning from our past. The culture in it, the hardships and lessons in it and even what joy and fun looked like for that era. I think it is important to understand the past of the world around us. It helps us understand where we came from, good and bad; and think of the blessings we have from where we are today. Friend, our history is important. The Bible is a great history book too. Full of insight and lessons. May we learn about our world’s history and the lessons in it; maybe from visiting an antique store, or reading about it in a book. The best history book is the Bible. For a life lived with an understanding of history, is a life better enriched for our future and the hope that comes in it.
