The way we sometimes get excited about celebrities, is the way we should all be getting excited about God. We get excited and binge watch our favorite shows or movies and we buy the next latest book series. When we should be more excited about God and reading His word. We take so much pleasure in worldly things and people and not enough in our Savior. Worldly pleasure leads to temporary joy, but putting our joy in God leads to eternal delight. Friend, may we take our time to fully examine where our desires are. Are they in worldly things or in a desire to grow in our faith? For a worldly heart is never fulfilled; but a heart that walks with God finds contentment for their soul.

John 2:15-16
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Colossians 3:2
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
