My youngest son and I had a lot of fun baking today. We followed the recipes and in doing so all of our desserts came out as we had hoped. The Bible is sort of like a recipe to follow for life. Though life, unlike food, can be far more unpredictable; the basis is similar. If we do not follow the recipe with baking, the desired outcome may prove undesirable. If we do not follow God’s instruction and words of wisdom from the Bible, be prepared to make what we can control; undesirable. As I sit here resting with the smell of baked goods, I feel blessed and grateful for good instructions. As we navigate life, I pray we can rest, knowing we have done our best, to follow God’s recipe for life.
