Recently a well-known singer changed her life around. She went from someone who was so clearly lost in sin, to someone who is now proudly declaring her faith. I am ashamed to admit, she is someone who I would have seen as a lost cause. I cannot help but to think, that someone was really praying for her. I should have been. I am glad that God continues to pursue me, despite my own shame and sin. I am glad God did not see me as a lost cause. We are blessed and should be glad that God always pursues us. How often friends do we label people, instead of praying for them? There is not one person who is a lost cause. I was humbled this morning. Friend, may we pray, where we could judge. May we love, where we could just not care. May we always remember that God can change hearts! Has he not changed our hearts, in our weaknesses? Let our cause be to truly reach out to everyone, as we share of His goodness. The only lost causes, are missed opportunities to share of God’s love.
