One of my favorite flowers are the ones that many call simple weeds. They grow wild and will grow anywhere that they are able. Many try to toss them aside or mow them down, instead of appreciating their beauty and their use. They grow amidst the long grass, through sidewalk cracks, they decorate waterways and give beauty to abandoned landscapes and highways. They are the dandelions that speckle yellow bits of sunshine around wherever they seem to grow. They become the most beautiful flowers when very young children offer them to their mom’s; as that is the prettiest and only thing that these small children can give their very own. A gift that says I picked this, just for you. Suddenly what the world calls a weed, we can truly see that it is indeed, a beautiful flower. We are but dandelions in a sometimes hard world. Despite what the world may sometimes say our worth is or what maybe we tell ourselves because of our shortcomings and our sins; we are not a weed, a nuisance or not meant to be right where we are. We are flowers that grow, spreading bits of light and beauty in the world around us. Like dandelions that not only provide beauty they also serve a purpose in helping people. Friend, God designed us with a purpose. So pay no mind what some people say you are. Keep growing wherever you are. Keep being that beautiful flower, that God picks, every time.

Ephesians 2:10 NKJV
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
