We cannot buy our way to Heaven

For that price was already paid

Where only Jesus can pay the cost

Of all the mess we made

We cannot lie, bribe or cheat

Or put on a façade

For there is no false pretense

Or tricking our great God

Our hearts are examined

By the one true King

Who knows our intention

He knows everything

We must be authentic

With our relationship with Him

For only He can save us

From our messiness of sin

At calvary, the price was paid

When Jesus died upon the cross

To save us all from our own doing

When we were broken and lost

There is nothing quite like

The greatest gift ever received

The gift of grace,

that He gave free

Friend, we must accept

What only He can give

His redemption and love

And His grace to forgive
